Campaigns
Campaigns let you send a WhatsApp template message to a list of contacts at once — for promotions, reminders, announcements, or follow-ups.
Requires the WhatsApp Business add-on.
Before you start
- You must have at least one Sender ID (WhatsApp Business number) connected.
- The message must use an approved WhatsApp Template (see Templates).
- Contacts must have a valid mobile number with WhatsApp enabled.
Creating a campaign
- Go to WhatsApp → Campaigns.
- Click + New Campaign.
- Fill in:
- Campaign Name — internal label
- Sender ID — the WhatsApp number to send from
- Template — the approved message template to use
- Recipients — select contacts by tag, segment, or individual selection
- If the template has variable placeholders (e.g.
{{name}}), map them to contact fields. - Set the Send Time — immediately or scheduled for a future date/time.
- Click Launch Campaign.
Campaign statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Scheduled | Queued to send at the set time |
| Sending | Currently being delivered |
| Completed | All messages dispatched |
| Failed | Delivery error — check the recipients report |
Recipient report
View delivery results per contact:
- Open the campaign detail page.
- Click Recipients.
The report shows delivery status per contact (Sent, Delivered, Read, Failed).
Attaching documents to campaigns
Some templates support a header media (image, PDF, document). When creating a campaign with such a template:
- Select the template.
- Upload the media file or select from your file library (e.g. an invoice PDF).
- The file is attached to every message sent.
Tips
- Use tags to target the right audience — e.g. send a renewal reminder only to contacts tagged
renewal-due. - Schedule campaigns for off-peak hours to maximise open rates.
- Test with a small recipient list first before broadcasting to thousands.
