AI Credits

AI Credits is a single prepaid balance that powers AI-driven features across YSUITE, so there's nothing to manage per feature.

Requires the feature you're using AI Credits with (currently Bank Reconciliation).

How a job is priced and charged

Every AI job follows the same sequence:

1. Quote — before the job runs, YSUITE prices it against a published rate card for that feature and operation, so you know the cost up front.
2. Reserve — starting the job reserves that many credits against your balance. Reserved credits are held but not yet spent.
3. Settle — once the job finishes successfully, the reservation is settled and the credits are actually deducted, based on the actual work done (which can differ slightly from the original estimate).
4. Release — if a job fails, or is abandoned, its reservation is released back to your balance instead of being charged.

This means a failed AI job never costs you credits — only a completed one does.

Usage ledger

Every reservation, settlement and release is recorded in your usage ledger, so you can see exactly what an AI feature has cost you over time, broken down by feature and operation.

Tips

• Use the quote step before committing to a large job (e.g. a long bank statement) if you want to confirm the cost before it reserves credits.
• If a job seems to be taking unusually long, check your usage ledger — an abandoned reservation is automatically released after a period of inactivity rather than sitting as a permanent hold.
