Cash & Bank Accounts
Every cash or bank account your business uses is registered in YSUITE, with its own transaction ledger.
Requires the MoneyPro module.
Adding an account
- Go to Accounting → Cash & Bank Accounts.
- Click + New Account.
- Give it a name and opening balance.
- Save.
Payments received, payments made, and expenses all post against the account you select on the document — the account's own ledger updates automatically as those documents are recorded.
Account transfers
Move money between two of your own cash/bank accounts:
- Go to Account Transfers.
- Click + New Transfer, choose the source and destination account, and the amount.
- Attach supporting documentation if needed.
- Save — both accounts' ledgers update immediately.
Owner contributions and drawings
For sole proprietorships and partnerships tracking owner equity directly through cash accounts:
- Owner Contribution — record money the owner puts into the business.
- Owner Drawing — record money the owner takes out.
Both post to the relevant equity account automatically.
Unified transaction view
Transactions gives a single, filterable ledger across every cash/bank account — useful when you want to see cash movement across the whole business rather than one account at a time. Export it for external reporting.
Tips
- Reconcile each bank account regularly using Bank Reconciliation rather than only at year-end — smaller, frequent reconciliations catch discrepancies while they're still easy to trace.
- Use the unified Transactions view when you need to filter cash movement by date range across accounts, rather than opening each account individually.
