Contacts

Contacts are the foundation of your CRM. A contact can be an Individual (a person) or a Business (a company). Individuals can be linked to a parent Business contact.

Contact types

Type Use for
Individual A specific person — can be linked to a parent Business
Business A company or organisation

Adding a contact

  1. Go to CRM → Contacts.
  2. Click + New Contact in the top right.
  3. Select the contact type: Individual or Business.
  4. Fill in: Name (required), email, phone, address.
  5. Optionally add: tax number, notes, tags, notification preferences, and custom fields.
  6. Click Save.

Contact fields

Field Description
Name Full name or company name (required)
Type Individual or Business
Email Primary email address
Mobile Phone number with country/ISD code
Address Postal or street address
Tax Number VAT / TRN / GST registration number
Notes Internal notes about this contact
Parent Company The Business this Individual belongs to
Tags Labels for segmentation and automation
Email Notify Whether to send email notifications to this contact
SMS Notify Whether to send SMS notifications
WhatsApp Notify Whether to send WhatsApp messages

Importing contacts

  1. Go to CRM → Contacts → Import.
  2. Download the sample CSV template.
  3. Fill in your contacts following the column headers.
  4. Upload the file — duplicates are detected by email address.
  5. Map any unmapped columns, then confirm the import.

Segmenting with tags

Tags let you group contacts for filtered views and campaigns:

  • Add tags when creating or editing a contact.
  • Filter the contact list by one or more tags.
  • Use tags as trigger conditions in Automation workflows.
  • Target a tag group with a WhatsApp Campaign.

Custom fields

If the default fields don't cover your data:

  1. Go to Settings → Custom Fields → Contacts.
  2. Add fields of type: text, number, date, dropdown, or checkbox.
  3. Custom fields appear on every contact record and in CSV exports.

From any contact record you can see and manage:
